Design that's thought through, from sketch to shipped.
Hi, I'm Em. I design brands, websites, and printed things — and I care just as much about the why behind the work as how it looks.
What I do
Three things, done properly.
Every project starts with questions, sketches, and a little healthy doubt — then gets refined until it actually works for the people using it.
Brand identity
Logos, color, type, and the rules that hold them together — identities built to survive everything from a favicon to a building banner.
Web & UX design
Websites and product flows grounded in research — surveys, testing, and honest iteration, not just pretty screens.
Print & publication
Magazines, packaging, and printed pieces — grids, pacing, and paper, designed to be held, not just scrolled past.
Selected work
Recent projects.
Five projects, five very different problems. Each case study walks through the process — sketches, dead ends, and all.
From user surveys to tested wireframes to final Figma screens — a full product design process with the receipts to show for it.
An anniversary mark for a university with history — designed to read from a moving car and hold up in one color.
A friendlier face for a cruelty-free certification — new homepage, new palette, and a bunny with actual personality.
The whole brand world for a small-batch roaster — logo, bags, a Shopify store, and three t-shirts people actually want to wear.
Covers, spreads, and an editorial system built to play nicely with illustrations from Humane Science Allies.

About
Nice to meet you.
I'm Em, a designer based in Philadelphia. I work across brand, web, and print — which mostly means I get to be curious about a lot of different things and call it a job.
My favorite part of any project is the messy middle: the sketches that don't work, the survey answer that changes everything, the moment a direction finally clicks. That's why my case studies show the process, not just the after photo.

Got a project? Let's talk.
Whether it's a brand that needs building, a site that needs rethinking, or something printed and beautiful — I'd love to hear about it.
